Certification in Advanced Manipulative Therapy
Advanced Manipulative Therapy integrates the Osteopathic Manipulation concept along with Manual Physical Therapy to create a very effective Manual Therapy approach. There is no requirement to take the courses in any particular sequence. You can take the two courses in any order is convenient for you.
Since there is no requirement to take the courses in a particular sequence then when will I get certified?
We hold the certification process during the second day of each one of the courses. If for example you have previously taken the Advanced Manipulative Therapy for Lumbar Spine and you are now attending the Advanced Manipulative Therapy for the Cervical & Thoracic Spine, then during day 2 of this course you will have to take a written and practicum exam on the concepts you have learned during the other 2 courses and when you pass you will receive your Advanced Manipulative Therapy Certification.
Who can attend the Advanced Manipulative Therapy program?
PTs, OTs, MDs & DOs with an interest in the area of Manual Therapy and Thrust Manipulation are candidates for the program.
What are the requirements to achieve Advanced Manipulative Therapy Certification?
1) The Advanced Manipulative Therapy Candidate must submit an Advanced Manipulative Therapy enrollment application provided free of charge.
2) The candidate must complete successfully the following courses along with their assignments:
3) Pass the written and lab exam offered during the third day of each of the courses.
When and where can these courses be attended? Is there an order that I have to take the courses?
The Advanced Manipulative Therapy courses are offered by Hands-On Seminars and PHYSION several times every year in various regions in the US and abroad. Students have the flexibility to attend to any of these courses.
All of the courses can be taken in any order and they have no prerequisite.
Do I get awarded regular Continuing Education Units (CEUs) at the state where I belong?
When we teach in states that require CEUs we always apply with the state and we award state CEUs for our courses. We only award CEUs for licensed professionals in the states in which the course(s) are held. For those that are coming from a state in which HOS is not holding courses during the calendar year, the approval process could be completed by any one individual. All of the information needed is on our web site www.handsonseminars.com.
Can I take your Advanced Manipulative Therapy courses without going for the Advanced Manipulative Therapy Certification?
Yes. Some of the people that attend our courses do not participate in the Certification program but most of them do. The Advanced Manipulative Therapy program is appropriate only for those few who want to excel and to become experts in the area of Advanced Manual Therapy.

Customer Testimonials
This is my 4th course with Hands-On Seminars and I would highly recommend it to my colleagues. The instructors are extremely friendly and knowledgeable and made the courses interesting. The small class size helps to receive greater attention during lab sessions. Jorge Llaurado, PT, MS
